Frequently Asked Questions
What is an Osteopractor?
An Osteopractor is a Physical Therapist, Medical Doctor, or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine who has completed an evidence-based post graduate training program in the use of spinal and extremity thrust manipulation, ultrasound-guided dry needling, instrument-assisted manual therapies, and differential diagnostics for the diagnosis and treatment of neuromusculoskeletal conditions. In short, Osteopractors are specialists in the neuromusculoskeletal system. If you had a skin issue you would go to a specialist - a Dermatologist. If you have neck pain, back pain, headaches, tennis elbow, heel pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, knee osteoarthritis, shoulder impingement or joint pain etc., it makes sense to look for a specialist - an Osteopractic Physical Therapist or Osteopractor.
Do I need a referral?
The Texas Physical Therapy State practice act allows you to be treated by our clinic for 10 calendar days before needing a referral from a medical provider. You may be seen before that deadline. After it, you may email your referral or bring it in person. Assistance with obtaining a referral can be provided, please inquire. Wellness clients do not need a referral.
